Module 4: Reviewing a Generated Time Study

This document explains how to review an AI-generated time study, interpret its segments, and use the zoom and navigation tools to examine specific portions of the video and associated work elements.

Reviewing a Generated Time Study

Step 1: Open the Time Study

Click on the time study you want to review to open its detailed view.

Step 2: Understand the Time Study Layout

On the left side of the screen, review the video playback area. On the right side, examine the list of segments that have been automatically generated by the AI from the video’s visuals and audio. Each segment shows:

  • The detected work element

  • The time range for that element

  • The type of work

  • Whether the segment is categorized as value-add, non-value-add, or waste

The interface will also show citations describing what is occurring in that specific step of the video.

Step 3: Navigate Through Segments

To review segments across the entire video, either scroll down the segment list on the right-hand side or use the bottom timeline, which displays the same segments in chronological order.

Step 4: Zoom In on Specific Segments

If you want a closer look at particular segments, use the zoom functionality. Simply click the zoom control on the right-hand side of the segments panel, which will expand each of the segments for more detailed viewing.
